Keno Methods That Make Money

It will not usually be thought of as the most lucrative game in the realm of gambling, but keno has loads of passionate enthusiasts. And it should! It’s a regularly entertaining lotto-like game that’s easy to master, readily available in loads of assorted formats, and one that may yield millions of dollars for players who master its countless subtle nuances. But let’s begin with the beginner’s rules for now.

When describing keno to amateurs, some gaming experts compare it to lotto. This is at least to some extent correct, in that both games are essentially numerical. But to take that comparison too far will be to minimize the great many unique characteristics that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the power to select the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is granted an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to choose as many (or as few) numbers as he or she needs. And it doesn’t take a genius to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your picked numbers with a normalball point pen like you had back in the day.

Once you’ve marked your numbers, carry the keno card back to the keno pit manager at the keno stand. The person will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning ticket with you, you will get exactly $.00 for your winning card.

And there you have strategy number one: always take care to keep your keno receipt. Let us move on to something a little more useful, yes?

After you’ve marked your numbers, get yourself into a nice keno booth and observe the action happen on the big keno monitor. This is where the winning numbers are shown in lights. If you have winners, mark your card aptly. Make sure not to move to slowly, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get back to the keno stand to collect your winnings, since a new drawing will most likely start within five minutes.

Strategy #2: always make it back to the keno booth on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to meet that 5 minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the max number of games (matching the amount of tickets) is played, you are then able to get off your lazy bum and go retrieve your winnings.

Still another alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno card, which usually lets you make number choices for thirty games or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to fret about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

And now you have learned a couple of necessary strategies for winning keno. If you are a skillful player, they might appear to be stupidly obvious. Still, it won’t hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a beginner keno player, every little bit of advice will help make your keno games more exciting.
